Post Flexible Working Fair 2008 Report

 

Building on success: 50 exhibiting companies; over 700 visitors

The event had the backing and support of the London Development Agency and the organisational expertise of the JustPartTime event team.

The JustPartTime Flexible Working Fair provided its range of visitors representing employees and potential employees from across the age ranges, skill sets and work experience with a variety of services from exhibitors actively recruiting, CV advice and a free crèche.

The seminar programme speakers, started after the official opening of the event by Andrew Miller, MP, represented the entrepreneurship of Dragon’s Den competitor Julie White director of Truly Madly Baby, the business acumen of Jonathan Reuvid, author of a raft of business titles, legal advice on the rights of flexible and part time was provided by senior partner Linky Trott, LLB, from Edwin Coe Solicitors, Dr Rosemary Anderson, expert in stress management advised how to keep life’s challenges in check. Dress for Success, London, gave a workshop on body language and presentation at job interviews and to end the speaker’s programme Liz Rhodes, MBE gave a stimulating talk on the value of work experience.
